English Proficiency Tests
This is a list of Tests used to measure language proficiency. Please do your own research in regard to which test is best for your situation.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
The TOEFL is considered to be the most widely accepted test of English and
is required for admission to over 7000 Universities and institutions of higher learning. (www.toefl.org)
TOEIC (Test of English fior International Communication)
The TOEIC is widely held as the standard test for Business English. Many companies require a certain TOIEC score before they will consider sending staff an overseas assignments. (www.toeic.com)
GEPT (General English Proficiency Test)

EIKEN
Is an internationally recognized test of practical proficiency which is used by various school and vocational colleges as an admissions requirement. (http://stepeiken.org/)
EELPT (EduPros English Language Proficiency Test)
Designed by Canadian Educators this test can be used by vocational schools, language school and high school (mostly in Canada) to determine language ability. The test has 4 levels and is delivered via the internet. (http://www.eelpt.com/)
TEPS (Test of English Proficiency)
Developed by the Korean National University this is a 200 question test focusing on listening, grammar, vocab and reading. (http://www.teps.or.kr/)
TSE (Test of Spoken English)
TSE is the most widely used assessment of spoken English worldwide, measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to communicate effectively. The test is used for employment, graduate assistantships, licensure, and certification purposes. (TSE)
